![]() ![]() I downloaded the CLI version which is named appimageupdatetool. This tool has a GUI version and also a CLI version. When searching for a solution to automate this I found out about appimageupdatetool I believe this is the same tool that Krita uses in back-end to fetch the update. ![]() The update done from the Krita’s welcome screen downloads a file with new file name and we have to either adjust the name in desktop file or rename the downloaded file. I already have two different desktop files to launch the nightly and stable Appimage version of Krita. I rename the files of appimage to stable and nightly respectively so that it becomes each to point them to a shortcut and there is no need to change the desktop shortcut file always. Usually I used to click on the update button and then manually adjust the filename of the Appimage etc. So I thought that it is a cool idea to use script to automate the update process. UPDATE: Thank you so much for every one who contributed on the post! I didn't reply to everyone of you because I didn't really know what to say, sorry, but do know that your input was very much appreciated! It's good to know that wacom cares about linux, so I'm definitely going to invest in one (and not a huion like I originally intended). When chatting on Krita IRC deevad mentioned that he uses a script to automatically download Krita nightly update and manage the launcher icons etc. Ideally shortcut buttons and a price below 150€ (175€ max but I'd like not to go this expensive).įor pens I saw on Huion's web site that there are pen with no batteries and some with (rechargeable or not), what are the ups and downs of each system? Decent tilt recognition (I may not need something the full 60° tilt recognition but at least something were I don't need to have the pen vertical all the time). The kind of tablet I'm interested in is a tablet that is relatively big (mine is 13×9.5 cm and it's really small for me) with no screen, just a surface. I've heard that some tablets might not work on some softwares and that they're were apps to control the tablets (like setting a work space for the tablet to work on only one screen when you have a dual screen layout), so do wacom tablets work with krita 4 and linux (ubuntu, debian).
